We associated with professor Madhusudhan Pathak of Oriental Research Institute of Baroda. The kind of shows we were doing before were quite different, mostly social-patriotic shows and crime thrillers etc.
Nine long years we spent on research for the show. Talking about the same, Dheeraj Kumar said, “Om Namah Shivay commenced its telecast in the year 1996. He said that it was the longest he has ever taken to prepare for any show he made. Director Dheeraj Kumar recently revealed that the research work on the show took around nine years and renowned scholars and writers were consulted for the show.
